God created families w/ a function. When a family is following the Lord, things work as they were intended. But when a family doesn’t, trouble follows.

Genesis 25:23 ESV
And the LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the older shall serve the younger.”

Proverbs 22:6 ESV
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
